Elections for President and Principal Executive Council members 2010 – 2012
Nominations are now closed and the results are now being checked by the scrutineer.
The Principal Executive Council (PEC) is the Union's highest decision making body and governs the Union in between the Biennial Delegate Conferences.
More information about the constitution and powers of the PEC is available in Sections 15 and 16 of the Rules & Constitution
The PEC is lead by the Union’s President who must be a member of the Union and two Vice-Presidents who are elected by and from the elected PEC members.
The President and PEC have a two year term of office. The current term ends at the close of the 2010 Biennial Delegate Conference on April 23rd 2010 so the election processes must now start for the President and PEC members who will lead the Union from April 2010 through to the Biennial Delegate Conference in 2012.
In accordance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (as amended), Popularis Ltd, of 6 De Montfort Mews, Leicester, LE1 7EU has been appointed as the independent Scrutineer of the elections.

The decision of the Scrutineer on any matter in these Regulations shall be final.
