14th June 2010 - Voting window extended for Accord members

They think it’s all over … it’s not yet!

The Accord members’ ballot opened on Tuesday, June 1st and was due to close at noon on Monday, 14th June.

However, in response to a number of queries from members who say that they had not received voting papers at home and a lower turn-out than was hoped for,  Electoral Reform Services (ERS), the independent scrutineer conducting the ballot, has agreed to extend the voting period for a few more days.

If you are an Accord member and you haven’t already voted, please do so now: Click here to go to the voting site.  (You will need your security codes to vote. They have been mailed to you twice by ERS and you should also have received them by email if your email address is registered with Accord).

If you don’t receive your voting pack, would prefer a postal vote or you’re experiencing difficulties with the voting site, please ring the Electoral Reform Services’ Customer Service team on 0208 889 9203.

If you have any queries about the proposals that you need answers to before you vote, please call Accord’s Ballot Helpline on 01189 341808 and press option 1.

It is really important that you vote and help to determine the way forward for your union on these important issues.
